I'm thinking of buying a Fossil Watch for my boyfriend, but I'm not sure if they last a while or not, and unfortunately, I don't think I know anyone who has purchased one for themselves.

Fossil Watches are GREAT. I have had mine for nearly 5 years and only had the battery replaced once which was free due to warranty. They don't break under water or scratch easily.
