I'd like to get my husband a nice watch. He doesn't like Gold or leather bands. I would spend anywhere from $500-$1000. Please don't recommend Rolex as it's not an option right now.

So, any other recommendations? I have looked at Citizen Watches. Are those good? Any help would be very much appreciated!

Citizen Watches are amoung the best out there for sure. next to Rolex and Omega *which are both very expensive), Citizen is very good! i own several Citizen chronograph Watches, and they are very accurate and are made very well. expect to pay in the $300.00 to $600.00 range for most Citizen Watches, although you might pay more for some of their Watches.

They're so nice i purchased one for myself..=)

They're around £100 - £300 ($200-$600)

are very well made, & they range form simple & smart to brightly coloured & edgy.

I love mine (&so does my boyfriend..)& even though it's for men i wear it every day.
