I’m going into Eastern Turkey on a camping trip. Apparently this trip is usual amongst tourists. We will be travelling in a jeep but sleeping in tents in the countryside.

Are there any specific snakes, scorpions or predators that I should be aware of?

There are wolves, bears and even Leopards. But your guide should keep an eye on the matter and they always are carrying guns for protection.

Watch where you step, there are a lot of snakes including Egyptian cobra but you probably won't see any. There are scorpions but they’re not the fatal threatening ones like in the Arab world. Just check your shoes before you put them on.

It will be safer than you think.

The most hazardous thing in eastern turkey is human bandits.For animals just take normal precautions like looking before you get in your sleeping bag and shoes.
